"The Permanent Representation's main tasks are to promote and clarify the position of the Netherlands within the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), report to the authorities in The Hague, and provide advice on developments within the OSCE framework. Diplomats of the Mission participate in debates and negotiations in the Permanent Council, the Forum for Security Co-operation, and subsidiary bodies in which the Netherlands is a member or active observer. They are also involved in OSCE conferences and initiatives related to security, human rights, economic cooperation, and conflict prevention."
