What is Refugees Connected?
Refugees Connected is an innovation-led initiative by the Netherlands Embassy in Greece and Orange Grove. It creates an online platform between refugees (with valid work permits) and Greek employers in agriculture, with the option to expand into more sectors, such as care, logistics, and hospitality.

Why?

Refugees in Greece are looking for legal work. Employers face labour shortages. This project bridges both sides through technology. The aim is to promote integration of refugees into the Greek labour market.

 

How?

An online platform matches refugee candidates with verified employers.The platform will deal with language barriers, support recruitment processes and offer help desk services.

Who?

Refugees with legal status. Employers sourced through Embassy, Orange Grove & Agrinow networks.

Two-Phase Pilot
PHASE 1 · May – Oct 2026: Agriculture first. 10 placements via a platform developend by Agrinow.
PHASE 2 · Oct – Dec 2026: If phase 1 is positive 5 more placements will be sought in other sectors (for example care, logistics & hospitality).
