Refugees Connected - Greece
Refugees Connected - more information following soon!
What is Refugees Connected?
Refugees Connected is an innovation-led initiative by the
Netherlands Embassy in Greece and Orange Grove. It creates structured
digital pathways between refugees (with valid work permits) and Greek
employers in agriculture, with the option to expand into more sectors,
such as care, logistics, and hospitality.
Why?
Refugees in Greece are looking for legal work. Employers face labour shortages. This project bridges both sides through technology. The aim is to promote integration of refugees into the Greek labour market.
How?
An adapted Agrinow platform matches refugee candidates with verified employers. Language barriers and administrative hurdles will be dealt with in the platform.
Who?
Refugees with legal status referred by UNHCR, IOM, Metadrasi &
other NGO's. Employers sourced through Embassy, Orange Grove &
Agrinow networks.
Two-Phase Pilot
PHASE 1 · May – Oct 2026: Agriculture first. 10 placements via
Agrinow's refugee-dedicated module, supported by Embassy and NGO
networks.
PHASE 2 · Oct – Dec 2026: If phase 1 is positive 5 more
placements will be saught in other sectors (for example care,
logistics & hospitality) to explore viability.
