Celebrating the FIFA World Cup 2026

Changing the Game Together

In the summer of 2026, the United States, together with Canada and Mexico, will host the FIFA World Cup, the world’s largest single-sport event. From June 14 to July 19, millions of soccer fans will come together across North America to celebrate the global game.

Two teams from the Kingdom of the Netherlands are part of it: the Netherlands (“Oranje”) and Curaçao (“Blue Wave”).

The Kingdom of the Netherlands has a proud sporting tradition. We consistently perform beyond expectations, not only in sport itself, but also in fields where innovation, teamwork, and long-term vision are essential. Ensuring broad access to sport is a core value as well.

The diplomatic network of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the United States looks forward to marking this historic tournament together with partners, communities, and soccer fans throughout the country.

Soccer has long played an important role in Dutch society and culture, and the World Cup offers a unique opportunity to share that passion with a global audience.

Our sporting success is built on innovation, collaboration, and accessibility. These values guide us both on and off the field. Beyond producing champions, the Netherlands develops smart solutions and delivers world-class sports experiences that are inclusive, sustainable, and forward-looking.

The World Cup provides a powerful platform for Dutch companies to shine. We will highlight sports-related innovations from Dutch businesses and their collaboration with American partners. As always, we will also be available to provide consular assistance to citizens of the Kingdom of the Netherlands who may need support during the tournament through our consular website.

More information about our World Cup-related activities will be shared via our social media channels:
