Defense Department

The Defense attache office respresents the Netherlands Ministry of Defense and the Chief of Defense. They maintain a network with other nations and international organizations in Kyiv, with the Ukraine Defense Forces, the Ukraine National Guard, the Territorial Defense Forces and with the Ukraine Defense Academies.
Since the outbreak of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine their focus remained on supporting Ukraine military forces with donated high quality materiel like F16’s, Patriot, Hospitals, (Armoured) vehicles, Pantzerhauwitzers 2000 etc. The established network will also connect research centers in both countries, support the established 8 Ukraine Defense Coalition Group-Coalitions and training provided by and in the Netherlands.
Furthermore, the team works on establishing relations between Ukrainian (military) industry and the Dutch industry. They seek and explore opportunities for acquisition of UKR-made military equipment that will be donated to Ukraine armed forces immediately upon delivery by industry.
