The Netherlands aims to consolidate peace by supporting a more peaceful and inclusive society with respect for human rights by supporting South Sudan to set-up a transitional justice mechanisms. These are victimcentered; address (past) human rights violations and fight all impunity. We also aim to support South Sudanese justice and security institutions to be better equipped to deliver accountable, effective, equitable and gender sensitive services to all citizens. The most vulnerable people, especially women and girls in rural areas should get better access to a fair and effective justice system, including Gender Based Violence- and Juvenile courts.
