Finding solutions together

Upholding a strong position in global trade, investment and aid, the Kingdom of the Netherlands is aiming at inclusive and sustainable economic development worldwide.

Our colleagues are happy to help you!

Multilateral cooperation provides the foundation for entrepreneurship, jobs and decent work. We promote inclusive growth, resulting in benefits to society as a whole, with socio-economically empowered women, and improved opportunities for young people.

Sound economic development also requires respect for nature and the environment, with climate-smart use of resources. We favour innovative businesses, big and small, that embrace the digital economy and required green transition.

Our division of Economic affairs represents the Kingdom of the Netherlands at WTO, UNCTAD, ITC, ILO, WEF, WIPO, UNECE, WMO, ITU and CERN. We provide views and positions, and are active in developing proposals, including by making Dutch experience available. Policymakers, representatives of trade & industry, trade unions, CSO's and experts in the Kingdom are enabled to benefit from the wealth of wisdom in 'Geneva international' on sound socio-economic policies and good practices. We furthermore coordinate Dutch (financial) support to organisations and development cooperation programmes.
