A unique look behind the scenes at the NATO Summit in The Hague

From 24 to 26 June, The Hague was the backdrop to the NATO Summit 2025. World leaders, delegations from NATO member states and partner countries, and representatives of the European Union came together at the city’s World Forum under the leadership of NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs was heavily involved in organising this international summit, but it did not do it alone. Staff worked with partners in the Netherlands and abroad and in close cooperation with NATO.

On Monday 17 November, the documentary ‘Behind the scenes at NATO Summit 2025’ premiered at the World Forum. The screening was attended by staff from the ministry and other organisations that helped make this huge project a success.

The documentary offers a unique look at the preparations and running of the summit. To make it, a camera crew followed the project team from 2023 until the summit opening in June 2025. The film gives an insight into the challenges and dilemmas the team faced along the way.

We’d like to thank everyone involved in the summit for their hard work and dedication.
