The Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency (NFIA) organized one-to-one company meetings with Japanese companies that showed interest in meeting with DTA. The companies appreciated that DTA keeps them personally informed about the investment climate in the Netherlands and about developments in the Dutch tax system and incentives. This helps to shape corporate decisions in Japan, for companies that are already operating in the Netherlands, as well as companies that are considering doing so.
The DTA is known for its openness, approachability, and support in explaining the regulations. This helps to build trust, transparency, and mutual understanding – important factors for Japanese companies in their considerations to expand their businesses overseas.
The newly installed Dutch government intends to keep the tax regulations predictable, stop with adding additional national regulations on top of EU laws ('gold-plating') and enable reducing compliance cost. This coheres with the European Commission's Omnibus package that aims to simplify EU regulations and enhance competitiveness.
Through regular visits to Japan the DTA strongly supports Japanese companies’ smooth expansion into Europe and helps their business growth in the Netherlands.
