Honorary Consul in Punta Arenas

I take on the challenge of representing the Netherlands in Magallanes with great enthusiasm and a strong sense of responsibility. My purpose is to help strengthen the ties between the Netherlands and our region, supporting Dutch citizens who are in the territory and promoting new opportunities for connection, collaboration and exchange.

I hope to put my knowledge of Magallanes and my experience in both the public and private sectors at the service of this relationship, building bridges that bring both territories closer together and exploring opportunities for mutual benefit in economic, cultural, academic and innovation-related fields.

My tasks as honorary consul:

  • Assisting Dutch citizens with passport applications.

  • Supporting Dutch nationals deprived of liberty.

  • Guidance in obtaining visas for tourists who require them.

  • Participation in activities that promote opportunities for mutual benefit.

I am Chilean, born in Temuco, and for the past nine years Magallanes has become my home. I arrived in this region with my husband, who is from Magallanes, and here we have built our family life together with our three daughters.

I am a Business Engineer and hold a Master’s degree in Management Sciences from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, with more than 15 years of professional experience in different sectors, both public and private.

Between 2018 and 2022, I had the honor of serving as the Regional Ministerial Secretary of Economy, Development and Tourism for Magallanes and the Chilean Antarctic. This experience allowed me to gain an in‑depth understanding of the territory, contribute to its economic and productive development, and build a broad network of collaboration with public, private, academic and civil society actors.

I am currently the General Manager of Empresas Cruz de Froward, a regional company with more than 30 years of history in Magallanes.
