Marjan Schippers has been the Dutch Consul General in Toronto since 2025.

Marjan Schippers is a career diplomat with over 30 years of experience, having begun her career at the Netherlands’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1994. Her appointments include Ambassador to South Sudan (2022-2024), Deputy Head of Mission in Mali (2019-2022), and Deputy Director for Responsible Business Conduct and International Trade (2014-2017). Her expertise spans European integration, international trade, G20 cooperation, bilateral and multilateral diplomacy.
Marjan returned to Canada in 2025 as Consul General in Toronto, having previously served as Consul in Vancouver from 2001-2003.
