Jaap Frederiks has been ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Armenia since 2023.

The Embassy of The Netherlands in Armenia is opened in 2020. It is a small embassy with limited activities. Embassy does not issue any visas. Armenian citizens have to apply to VFS Lithuania for Schengen visas and to The Netherlands Embassy in Georgia for long term visas. The Embassy provides financing to the civil society organizations for implementing projects related to human rights, democracy, rule of law and good governance. Embassy also implements  economic and cultural activities.
