The diplomatic missions of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Vietnam have developed a practical RBC toolkit. It brings together three resources: a factsheet summarising the key facts on RBC, a short video series that walks you through the steps of RBC due diligence, and an ESG survey. Whether you are just getting started or looking to strengthen your current approach, these tools can help your business take the next step. Explore them below.

Vietnam is one of Asia’s most dynamic economies, with sustained 6–8% annual GDP growth (excluding COVID years) and rising foreign investment. Yet rapid development brings challenges in labor standards, environmental protection, and governance.

The Netherlands remains Vietnam’s largest EU trading partner, leading investor, and top export market. For Dutch companies, understanding and applying RBC standards is essential for sustainable and ethical growth. This Information Sheet helps Dutch businesses, policymakers, and partners navigate Vietnam’s evolving business landscape using the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises (2023), showing how companies can advance sustainable development while navigating economic, social, environmental, and governance risks.

RBC is not a standalone project. It is an ongoing process that becomes part of how a company operates every day. Yet many businesses still hesitate to take the first step, often because of common misconceptions about what RBC involves and what it requires. To support companies to get started, we have produced a short video series that explains the key concepts and steps of RBC due diligence in a practical and accessible way. Each video focuses on one topic, from understanding what RBC means to identifying risks in your value chain and addressing adverse impacts when they arise. Watch the videos below to learn more:
