The Dutch and EdTech: Innovative Education Solutions
The Dutch are known worldwide for their innovative solutions. In a world that is continuously changing, innovation is essential for people and societies. Education has to adapt, develop and innovate too. This year, a delegation of 30 EdTech startups, scale-up and companies were representing themselves and the Dutch EdTech ecosytem at the BETT Show in London.
Companies active in “EdTech” (educational technology) focus on adapting the ways of education and learning to stay on top of a rapidly changing world and to ensure that everybody acquires digital skills.
The Embassy startup liaison, Lieke Conijn, connects the Dutch EdTech system with opportunities in the United Kingdom, assisting Dutch startups and scale-ups to position, present, and promote themselves towards (new) investors, clients and partners. Earlier this year, the Embassy hosted the NL Netherlands lounge at the BETT Show in London - one of the world’s leading educational technology exhibitions. More than 30 Dutch companies participated, with many new partnerships and connections established over the three days.
The UK is an important market for Dutch Edtech startups, with possibilities for the Netherlands and the UK to learn from each other and cooperate. By working together, the development of Edtech can flourish and help to improve education - inside and outside the classroom.
