As close North Sea Neighbours in a world full of uncertainties, it is of utmost importance to work together closely as partners, allies and friends. We are therefore raising our level of ambition and focusing our discussions on:

  • Strengthening defence cooperation and continuing support for Ukraine
  • Shared concerns about the situation in the Middle East and efforts to help ensure the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and address the energy crisis
  • Increasing bilateral cooperation on energy and jointly pursuing long-term security of energy supply and other critical goods, as per the NL-UK Energy MoU and highlighted during a roundtable with CEOs from the British and Dutch energy sectors.
