Angèle Samura has been ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Democratic Republic of Congo since 2023.

Education

1988-1993: Master's degree in History, specialising in economic history, Leiden University
 

Professional activities

Angele Samura joined the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs in September 1998. She has been posted
to Pretoria (South Africa), Dhaka (Bangladesh), Tbilisi (Georgia) and Jakarta (Indonesia), Bangkok (Thailand) and Tunis (Tunisia).  She has also worked in The Hague in the Europe Department, the Human Rights Department and the Finance Department. Before joining the Ministry, she worked for an import and export company (Bud Holland).

Since 2023 Ambassador in Kinshasa.
2019 - 2023 Deputy Head of Mission Tunis (Tunisia).
2016 - 2019 Security Counsellor, Dutch Embassy Jakarta (Indonesia) and Dutch Embassy Bangkok (Thailand).
2014 - 2016 Coordination of budgetary matters, Finance Directorate.
2011 - 2014 Deputy Head of Mission Tbilisi (Georgia).
