Orange Green Days - Thailand
What is Orange Green Days?
In light of our ambition to build more resilient cities together, the Netherlands Embassy in Thailand initiated the so-called ‘Orange Green Days’ in 2022 to be a collaborative framework with the Thai/local partners in cultivating greener mindsets and reducing our ecological footprint.
The colour ‘orange’ symbolizes the Netherlands and by blending it with the colour ‘green’ – which represents sustainability, we seek to create awareness and inspire positive changes.
Continued efforts and stronger actions will help us achieve our goals to create a future-proof and liveable environment. No one would prefer to live in polluted drowning cities or arid land. We must continue our pursuit of sustainable development and take bold action on climate change.
The Netherlands and Thailand are both low-lying and highly-urbanised countries with the agriculture sector taking an important role in the economy. We, therefore, share a number of challenges on which we can exchange experiences and work together. These include the areas of water management, sustainable agriculture and future food, energy and circular economy, as well as smart and green mobility.
The Netherlands Embassy in Bangkok invites you to be part of the Orange Green Days to accelerate our transition to a more resilient and greener future together.
