On 9 May we celebrate Europe Day - an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the shared values that unite us, and the continued efforts to protect and strengthen them. This year’s celebrations are particularly special, marking the 40th anniversary of the first official Europe Day celebrations and the public introduction of the EU flag and anthem.

Climate games for children at the Netherlands market stand

Join us at the Europe Day Festival on Saturday 9 May from 11:00 – 18:00 in Kungsträdgården, Stockholm. Follow debates on current EU topics on the main stage, alternated with cultural performances by artists from all over Europe. And find out who receives the annual ‘European of the year’ award.

Visit stands at the market representing more than thirty European countries and participate in different activities and games. Try food from all over the continent and see the biggest coffee pot in the world.

Find us at the Netherlands stand, with activities for children:

  • The sea level is rising, how can we protect the land? Match solutions to problems in this interactive climate game. Solve the game & receive a mini-stroopwafel.
  • What kind of city do you want to live in when you grow up? Draw your own sustainable city, inspired by prints of real-life designs. Hand in your color drawing & receive a mini-stroopwafel.
  • Find out more about Dutch associations in Stockholm.
  • Try out field hockey – Dutch members from the MESAICOS field hockey club in Solna invite children for a mini game between 13:00 and 15:00.

We hope to see you there!
