UMC Utrecht and NTU Singapore Forge Deeper Partnership for Biotech and AI-enabled Healthcare Technologies
The Netherlands' University Medical Centre Utrecht (UMC Utrecht) and Singapore's Nanyang Technological University (NTU) formalised their partnership on Regenerative Medicine and AI for health innovation on 19 March 2026.
Professor Ernst Kuipers, NTU Vice President (Research), and Professor Louis Bont, UMC Utrecht Acting Chair of the Executive Board and Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences, signed the MOU in the presence of Ambassador Anneke Adema, Professor Shirley Ho, NTU Associate Vice President (Humanities, Social Sciences & Research Communication), and Professor Elly Hol, Vice-Dean Research and Innovation, UMC Utrecht.
By connecting researchers and clinicians, aligning joint priorities and preparing project proposals, this partnership strengthens the Netherlands-Singapore innovation ecosystems and creates opportunities for deeper collaboration in biotechnology and AI-enabled healthcare technologies.
This MOU also builds on previous MedTech and AI exchanges supported
by the Netherlands Innovation Network Singapore since 2022.
