Six decades ago on 7 December 1965, the Netherlands and Singapore officially established diplomatic ties. This relationship has grown from strength to strength, into a dynamic and focused multifaceted relationship - rooted in trust, shared interests, and forward-looking cooperation.

Both countries, though geographically distant, share a common interest as innovative maritime nations with open economies. Multilateral cooperation and strong rule of law are important to us.

Today, we enjoy a rich partnership that spans numerous sectors, including impactful cooperation between the Ports of Singapore and Rotterdam, strong trade and investments ties, cooperation in the areas of science, research and innovation, water, semicon, cyber & AI, customs and agrifood.

We look ahead to further advancing our bilateral relations and achieving new milestones together.
