Dutch Agricultural Network - Singapore

Dutch Agricultural Network

The Dutch Agricultural Network supports Dutch agricultural companies and knowledge institutes interested in doing business abroad.

The Dutch Agricultural Network (LAN) has been connecting products, services and knowledge of Dutch agricultural companies and knowledge institutions to partners and projects worldwide for a century.

Together with their teams of local advisors, the agricultural attachés assist Dutch entrepreneurs, companies and knowledge institutes. They also represent the Netherlands at international organisations, such as FAO/WFP/IFAD in Rome, the European Union in Brussels, and the OECD in Paris.

Agricultural councils, agricultural attachés and locally hired agricultural experts together form the LAN teams at the Dutch embassies, consulates and Permanent Representations abroad. From there we serve more than 70 countries, on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality.

We inform (potential) partners and governments abroad about opportunities for cooperation with the Netherlands, but above all we also provide advice and information to Dutch companies and entrepreneurs from the agricultural sector. We therefore support entrepreneurs when doing business abroad. We do this for all links in the chain: from starting material (seed, animal feed) and primary products to end products, but also the processing industry, supply, technology, services, trade and logistics. Finally, we play an important facilitating role in veterinary and phytosanitary trade barriers.

Current information about opportunities, developments in markets, regulations and activities in the countries where LAN operates can be found on the website Agroberichten Buitenland (in Dutch).

The Netherlands has something unique in its hands with the Dutch Agricultural Network. A worldwide network that is committed to the Dutch agricultural sector with expertise and passion. We are ready to continue to serve you in strengthening your international position and to contribute to the “Sustainable Development Goals” worldwide.

With our Dutch expertise in agriculture we aim to help Singapore get to their 30 by 30 goal; producing 30% of their own nutritional needs by 2030. From indoor vertical farming to collaborative R&D.
