Agriculture and economy - Serbia
The Netherlands Agricultural Network (LAN) supports Dutch agricultural companies, knowledge institutions, and stakeholders interested in doing business abroad.
The attachés and their teams operate from 62 Dutch embassies and consulates, covering 77 countries globally. The agricultural attaché network assists companies and entrepreneurs across the entire agricultural chain — from propagating material (seed, feed) and primary production to processing, technology, services, trade and logistics.
Our LAN Office in Belgrade
As part of its growing focus on the Western Balkans, the Netherlands has strengthened its agricultural representation in the region. Michiel van Erkel, the Regional Agricultural Attaché at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Belgrade, now leads the LAN team consisting of Mila Mirkovic, Agricultural Advisor, and Dragana Radovanovic, Agricultural Support Officer.
With the relocation of the regional LAN office to Belgrade, the Netherlands is stepping up agricultural collaboration in the Western Balkans. Our focus is on helping producers and other partners align with EU standards, adopt sustainable Dutch technology and expertise, and build resilient food systems. The LAN team provides advice on export–import opportunities, offers sector-specific information, and supports trade missions and business matchmaking. It also shares details on available financial instruments for investment, and organizes study tours and visits of farmers to the Netherlands, training programmes for government officials, and workshops in key agricultural fields such as dairy, horticulture, and food safety.
