Saudi Arabia’s high-tech sector

Saudi Arabia’s high-tech sector is rapidly emerging as one of pillars of the ambitious Vision 2030 economic diversification plan, shifting the Kingdom from crude oil dependence toward a knowledge-based, digitally driven economy.

Backed by large government initiatives, including the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) and major investments in infrastructure, the sector has seen rapid growth in areas such as AI, cloud computing, cybersecurity, fintech, and advanced data centers.

Saudi efforts to localize manufacturing capabilities, AI infrastructure, and data centers are essential for the Kingdom's ambitious projects and provide Dutch companies with ample opportunities to invest and expand. Dutch strengths in AI-driven solutions for smart logistics, digital health, cybersecurity, and precision systems align perfectly with Saudi priorities in e-government, renewable energy tech, and efficient infrastructure.
