Permanent Representative in Brussels
Marcel de Vink was appointed Permanent Representative
of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the North Atlantic Treaty
Organization in Brussels in 2026.
The Permanent Representative represents the Netherlands in the North
Atlantic Council (NAC), the highest decision-making forum within NATO.
The NAC meets several times per week. The Permanent Representative is
advised by the Permanent Military Representative.
Curriculum Vitae Marcel de Vink
Marcel de Vink joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1995 and was posted in Pretoria, Iraq (Political Advisor to the British Divisional Commander), Brussels (NL mission to EU) and New York (NL mission to UN). He also worked at the Security Policy Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in The Hague.
He then had the following assignments:
- 2006 - 2010 Private Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs
- 2010 - 2013 Head of the Political Department in Washington 2013 - 2015 Ambassador in Islamaba
