The Netherlands embassy in Belgium and the Permanent Representation of the Netherlands to the EU kindly invite you to join in marking IDAHOT, the International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia.

On May 17th, Queer collective Bebe books and Forbidden Colours will present the concept of ‘safer spaces’. What utopian queer scenarios are possible for an inclusive society? And what is necessary to create physical and virtual safer spaces, without sacrificing free public debate? 


Featuring an opening address by European Commissioner for Equality Helena Dalli, performances by Bebe books, testimonials by activists Fleur PieretsAngelica Polmonari and Mariam Kvaratskhelia, and a speech by European Parliament LGBTI Intergroup Co-Chair Kim van Sparrentak.
