Artistic and Cultural Collaboration Fund the Netherlands-Mexico

The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Mexico invites cultural organizations and creative professionals to participate in the Enlace Creativo 2026 open call, a fund designed to support collaborative, innovative, and high-impact projects that promote creative and cultural exchange between the Netherlands and Mexico.



This call is open to:

  • Public and private cultural institutions (museums, cultural centers, universities, foundations).
  • Festivals, biennials, or independent cultural platforms.
  • Artistic collectives, cultural agents, and cultural managers.
  • Artists, designers, and creators (individual or duo).
  • Studios within the creative industries, such as audiovisual design or digital media.
Projects from all artistic disciplines and creative industries are eligible (visual arts, performing arts, gastronomy, music, literature, design, architecture, film, etc.).
 
Projects must:
  • Take place in Mexico in 2026. Proposals outside Mexico City are welcome.
  • Have a confirmed partner (individual or institution) as a binational counterpart to the project (Mexico/Netherlands), with clearly defined roles and responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate technical, financial, and scheduling feasibility for short-term implementation.
  • Include a relevant public component through exhibitions, performances, workshops, publications, talks, or any format that actively engages audiences and includes impact measurement.
  • Contribute to strengthening the bilateral cultural relationship between the Netherlands and Mexico.
Projects must align with one or more of the following thematic priorities:
  • Human Rights: LGBTIQ+ or gender equality
  • Biodiversity
  • Sustainability: Climate justice or circular design
Proposals will be especially valued if they:
  • Propose new interdisciplinary and institutional collaborations between both countries.
  • Demonstrate audience impact.
  • Focus on at least one priority area of the Embassy.
  • Show potential for continuity or long-term impact.
The Embassy of the Netherlands in Mexico will offer a contribution of up to €10,000.00 (or its equivalent in Mexican pesos) to the selected project.
This amount may be used to cover fees, transportation, production, outreach, or other costs directly related to project implementation.
How to apply:
  • Download and complete the application (in Spanish or English) form which you can download at the bottom of this site.
  • Include the following files through a Google Drive link with open access , ensuring it is not blocked and does not require a request for access (files sent via download platforms such as Dropbox or WeTransfer will not be considered):
    • Letter(s) or email(s) of intent or collaboration from Dutch/Mexican partners.
    • A video of maximum 1 minute in which the applicant introduces themselves and briefly explains the project, highlighting its link between the Netherlands and Mexico.

Timeline
  • Deadline: Friday, January 30, 2026 at 17:00 h (Central Mexico Time)
  • Submission period: January 12–30, 2026
  • Call closes: January 30 at 17:00 h
  • Evaluation period: February 2–20, 2026
  • Announcement of selected project: Last week of February 2026
