The Embassy represents the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Israel and is based in the greater Tel Aviv area. The interests are manifold: economic (trade, investment and innovation), political (maintaining good ties with Israel, addressing regional and global challenges), consular and cultural. Specific services are rendered to victims of World War II.
We offer
We are looking for Administrative Officer for the Department of Resistance Fighters and Victims of War (V&O), for the duration of one year. We offer a competitive position in an international environment: gross basic full monthly salary is between 14.881 ‐ 22.321 NIS (depending on experience and subject to taxation in Israel); for 20 hours per week (working week is Monday to Friday 13.30) and flexibility with regards to working times and location.
General
As administrative officer you will provide service to resistance fighters and victims of war who are based in Israel and support the Sociale Verzekeringsbank (SVB) and the Pensioen‐ en Uitkeringsraad (PUR) in the Netherlands.
You will coordinate with the Operations Manager (OM), who is also heading the Department of V&O, and you will cooperate closely with the other colleagues at the embassy, in particularly those in the operations team.
Responsibilities
- Providing administrative support for the department and for existing clients.
- Working closely with a.o. case workers and organisations such as Beth Juliana and Beth Joles.
- Working closely with the Sociale Verzekeringsbank (SVB) and other related organisations in the Netherlands.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Israeli and Dutch society including the cultural and political landscape.
- Previous experience in administrative field.
- Good computer based skills.
- Ability and willingness to roll up sleeves, proactive approach.
- Excellent networking and communication skills.
- Team player, result oriented, flexible.
- Israeli citizenship or a valid work permit for Israel.
- Fluency in Dutch, English (speaking, reading, writing) and Hebrew.
