About XA4
XA4 (Xavier Boot) is an Amsterdam-based pianist and composer who blends classical roots, electronic production and traditional gamelan influences into high-energy live performances. His compositions are the culmination of his musical journey of studying classical music and electronic music at the conservatories of the Hague, Amsterdam and Düsseldorf, alongside travelling to Indonesia and going to Indonesia where part of his roots lie. His sound can best be compared to artists like Grandbrothers and Philip Glass, ranging from intricate minimalist piano to driving industrial techno beats.

XA4 has released acclaimed projects through Excelsior Recordings and Philip Glass’s own Orange Mountain Music in New York. He has performed concerts at prominent Dutch and international venues, including the Royal Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Melkweg, Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) and DGTL. Beyond live performance, his composition work spans television, documentary score, and sound design for cultural institutions such as the Royal Museum for Antiquities.
