The Netherlands reaffirmed its strong commitment to ASEAN as a vital partner for peace, stability, and prosperity in Southeast Asia. The second committee meeting of the ASEAN-Netherlands Development Partnership Committee (AN-DPC) that held on May 19 provided an important opportunity to review and deepen bilateral cooperation.

Dutch Ambassador to ASEAN Marc Gerritsen and Ambassador-at-Large Aldrik Gierveld represented the Netherlands, engaging in constructive dialogue with the ASEAN Secretariat and the Permanent Representatives of ASEAN member states.

Following the meeting, the Dutch delegation took the MRT Jakarta from the ASEAN Secretariat to Bundaran HI—showcasing a modern and sustainable mode of transport. The day concluded with a dinner reception hosted by Ambassador Gerritsen in Jakarta, attended by ASEAN Permanent Representatives, fellow ambassadors, diplomats, and colleagues from the ASEAN Secretariat.
