About Perspectives On.. Weaving Threads
Perspectives On… Weaving Threads focuses on the deep cultural and
symbolic significance of weaving in Indonesia, valuing the connection
between warp and weft, between artist and artisan, between cultures.
On October 18th, 2025, Dutch visual artist Nazif Lopulissa kicked off
his 10-day artist residency at Studio Sejauh, together with Indonesian
fashion designer Chitra Subyakto in Pekalongan, Java. The resulting
works are shown during this exhibition at the foyer of Erasmus Huis,
Jakarta, from 1 November to 24 December 2025.
About State of Fashion
State of Fashion is a platform for showcasing alternatives to the
current fashion system. It connects fashion, explicitly and honestly,
with the societal questions and challenges of our time. Their leading
question is how fashion and textile can contribute to a better world?

initiated by the Sejauh Bumi Lestari Foundation, part of the Sejauh
