About Robin Block
Robin Block is a poet and musician from Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Tracing his family roots in Java, Robin frequently travels back and forth between the Netherlands and Indonesia, using his art to connect both cultures. He describes his music as dreamy pop with a folky edge, intimate and richly arranged, melancholic yet full of solace.
In this Indonesian tour, Robin Block collaborates with Indonesian string musicians Hadi Irawan (violin) and Wilis Permadi (cello), as well as Dutch musicians Ro Halfhide (percussion) and Julien Oomen (bass). Together they deliver a mesmerizing mix of indie-folk and string arrangements, with songs in English and Indonesian.
