About Nusantara Beat

Nusantara Beat was founded in Amsterdam by a group of musicians who feel connected to their Indonesian roots and culture. Inspired by traditional Indonesian songs from the 20th century, they create tropical and mystical sounds with their style and creativity. They take the audience on a journey to the land of their ancestors, but at the same time, they take the music into the future.

They show how rich and diverse Indonesian music is by performing Indonesian songs in prominent music concerts and festivals across Europe. The psychedelic folk band has also released a couple of singles on vinyl through a collaboration of Bongo Joe Records (Switzerland) and Lamunai Records (Indonesia).
