On 30 January 2024 more than 200 students attended the 7th A.E. Priyono Democracy Forum organized by the Public Virtue Research Institute (PVRI) with support from the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Indonesia, Timor-Leste, and ASEAN. The discussion took place at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) Bandung and concerned the role of youth in countering disinformation in the run-up to the elections.

In an interactive conversation, students were able to discuss with a Commissioner from the General Elections Commission (KPU), academics, and experts from the field the advantages and risks of social media in political campaigns. The forum created a platform for open dialogue about democracy on a very timely issue and generated enthusiasm among the students to engage in public discussions.
