The Amsterdam-based string ensemble ADAM Quartet brought a fresh perspective to their performance at the Erasmus Huis auditorium in Jakarta on December 12, 2025. This was the final stop of their Indonesian tour, following successful performances at Petra Christian University in Surabaya on December 5 and Methodist Charles Wesley in Medan on December 9.

In Jakarta, they performed for an audience of 422 people, offering an evening of classical music with a contemporary twist—both in its innovative sound and unique performance style. The program highlighted the quartet's ability to bridge musical eras, ranging from the shimmering, Gamelan-inspired textures of Maurice Ravel’s String Quartet to Caroline Shaw’s Entr'acte and the dynamic shifts of Aleksandra Vrebalov's My Desert, My Rose. They also delighted the local audience with a special performance of the Indonesian folk song "Burung Kakaktua," arranged by Jeffrey Bruinsma.

Founded in Amsterdam in 2020, the ADAM Quartet features Margot Kolodziej (violin), Julia Kleinsmann (violin), Minna Svedberg (viola), and Renée Timmer (cello). For this Indonesian tour, Francesca Wiersma stepped in for violist Minna Svedberg. The concert served as a wonderful conclusion to the 2025 performing arts program at Erasmus Huis, providing a warm atmosphere to close the year while looking forward to 2026.
