The Ocean Cleanup (Interceptor)
The Ocean Clean up Interceptor #1 is operating in Jakarta, in the Cengkareng Drain. The Dutch embassy is proud to have assisted The Ocean Cleanup in installing the world’s first interceptor here, and help stopping plastic entering the oceans via rivers.
NL Ecoparks: Indonesia & the Netherlands team up for a more sustainable Indonesia
Growing challenges in waste management require all the stakeholders involved to come up with smart solutions. A group of Dutch companies and institutions, supported by the Dutch government, are partnering up in providing green initiatives for sustainable waste management through the Ecoparks program.
Cooperation on Life Sciences and Health
Shared Challenges, Smart Solutions – Indonesia and the Netherlands work together to discover solutions relating to various health challenges. The Embassy facilitates cooperation between public and private sectors and academic institutions. For example, the Embassy supports a program called LEAP conducted by NLR Indonesia, which aims for better inclusion of people with leprosy-related disabilities. The Embassy also facilitates several trade missions on Life Sciences and Health, since 2016.
