Economic Affairs

This department represents the economic interest of the Netherlands. Promoting the position of Dutch companies on the Indian market is one of the main tasks. The Embassy also helps Indian companies to find Dutch business contacts.

This means that the department is responsible for:

  • Promoting a favorable business climate for trade and investment;
  • Support and advice Dutch companies that seeking business in India;
  • Organizing business missions, seminars and network meetings;
  • ‘Holland Branding’ at elite events.

The responsibilities are shared with the Consulate General and the Netherlands Business Support Offices. There is also close contact with the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the RVO (Rijksdienst voor ondernemend Nederland).
