The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Hungary is looking for a proactive Policy Support Officer (50%) to join its political team in Budapest. In this role, you will support projects on human rights and rule of law, working closely with civil society partners while helping to manage and monitor project implementation. This is a varied position combining policy support with administrative and organisational tasks in a dynamic diplomatic environment.

In this position, you will contribute to the Embassy’s work by supporting the assessment, implementation, and monitoring of project activities, while maintaining close contact with civil society organisations and institutional partners.

The role combines substantive policy engagement with strong administrative and organisational responsibilities. You will play a key role in managing project processes from start to finish, ensuring compliance with donor requirements, tracking results, and supporting outreach to existing and new partners. In addition, you will contribute to the Embassy’s broader policy objectives by assisting with stakeholder engagement, preparing meetings and missions, and helping to communicate activities and results.

This is a newly established, part-time position offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic diplomatic environment, where initiative, teamwork, and a hands-on approach are essential.
