Dutch Cycling Vision - Hungary
Dutch Cycling Vision
In cooperation with the State Secretariat for Active Hungary and the Active and Ecotourism Development Centre (AÖFK), the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands has translated and published "The Dutch Cycling Vision" in Hungarian.
The Vision is a handbook, a toolkit summarising the benefits of cycling, how cycling can make us healthier and happier, reduce our environmental impact, make our cities more livable and safer, while being cheap and accessible for all. At the press conference, Désirée Bonis, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, explained that a revolution started in the Netherlands in the 1970s, whereby cities are being systematically planned step by step to make cycling attractive and comfortable. As a result of this conscious process, cycling is now the easiest and most efficient way of getting around in the Netherlands.
