Slush is the biggest startup tech event that takes place annually in Helsinki. Attendees can expect workshops, hackathons, and panel discussions that delve into the latest trends, providing invaluable insights into the tech landscape. The official conference takes places over the course of two days, but there is much more to see and do during the week of Slush.
From the Netherlands the biggest delegation ever is joining with over 200 people and over 80 startups. The focus of startups range from artificial intelligence to data security to sustainability. Slush is all about tech& innovation and this can be seen at the representation brought from the Netherlands. The startup ecosystems of the Netherlands all bring their startups with their own qualities and expertise to the table. The NL delegation consists of regional startup ecosystems like Amsterdam, Groningen, Friesland and Brabant and a selection of startups from four technical universities of the Netherlands.
The week of Slush starts with a kick-off session at the residence of the ambassador. During the week many activities and side-events are planned to ensure every startup gets the most out of these days. Side events are organized by the ecosystem organizations like 4TU from the four technical universities of the Netherlands. They organize events like a Tech Transfer Bar Takeover and Skywheel pitches, where undisturbed quality pitches takes place with a view of the city from a sky wheel. According to real Finnish tradition a karaoke evening needs to be included. The ecosystem event @BusinessFinland headquarters facilitates networking with international delegations from Catalonia, France and Denmark. Making an impact is important at Slush and therefore a funding for impact event is being organised at the residence. At the Slush conference there is a NL Lounge where investors and startups can meet, as Slush is all about meeting the right people to connect with. The Slush program is full of innovative speakers, workshops, and showcases.
