The Dutch embassy is promoting further cooperation by strengthening bilateral relations between the Netherlands and Finland as well as supporting cooperation on this topic within the EU. This cooperation will only increase in the future as Finland became a NATO member on 4 April, 2023.

Core tasks include reporting about Finland’s accession and integration into NATO and being a linking pin in terms of knowledge sharing between Dutch and Finnish authorities in the field. The Embassy also takes on a connecting role on issues like countering hybrid threats, artificial intelligence, cyber security and defense equipment cooperation.
