Multi Annual Country Strategy
The Multi-Annual Country Strategy (MACS) outlines the areas of international cooperation in which the Netherlands wishes to collaborate with Ethiopia for the period of 2023 until 2026. This document outlines our policy priorities and our goals and strategy. The implementation of this strategy is monitored on a regular basis and adjustments are formalized through subsequent annual plans.
The Netherlands aims to strengthen its relationship with Ethiopia, focusing on mutual strategic interests for a long-term partnership. This includes positioning the Netherlands as relevant partner in the field of trade and investment as well as for development cooperation, while looking for areas where the Netherlands and Ethiopia can align more with regards to value-based interests (e.g., human rights, accountability, migration).
