Embassy Copenhagen: Consular affairs (civil affairs) - Denmark

Department of consular affairs (civil affairs)

The department of consular affairs fulfills a number of important general tasks for Dutch nationals living in the Kingdom of Denmark, such as issuing travel documents and consular declarations. In addition, the consular department provides information about nationalities, naming rights, adoption and other civil affairs.

Applying for passports, ID cards, consular declarations, legalisations, MVVs and other consular services requires an appointment, which you must make online (in Dutch) via the appointment system. You can also check the status of  your application. For a naturalization procedure, you can best make an appointment using the contact form. On www.netherlandsworldwide.nl you can find more information about consular affairs.

The consular department also visits Dutch prisoners in Denmark, in collaboration with the Dutch Probation Service.
