Cultural exchange between the United Kingdom and the Netherlands

International exchange between culture makers, creative entrepreneurs and cultural institutions is a source of inspiration and generates new influences and knowledge. The Dutch embassy in London works to promote Dutch art and culture in the UK.

Opportunities for cooperation

With our extensive network in the Netherlands’ and the UK’s cultural sectors and our knowledge of cultural institutions, organisations and theatres, we can advise on opportunities for cooperation. We can inform the Dutch culture sector of interesting developments in the UK and we support British arts organisations that work with Dutch artists and designers.

We work closely with the Culture Funds in the Netherlands that have funding available for international cultural exhange. Furthermore, the Embassy has a limited budget to co-fund projects that provide a platform for Dutch arts in the UK or cultural activities that otherwise contribute to the development and/or international exposure of artists and designers from the Netherlands.

We also help Dutch artists and creative entrepreneurs with presentation and visibility in the UK, for instance in the media.
