Cultural exchange between Japan and the Netherlands

International exchange between culture makers, creative entrepreneurs and cultural institutions is a source of inspiration and generates new influences and knowledge. Are you interested in cultural exchange with the Netherlands? The Dutch embassy in Japan works to promote Dutch art and culture. We also support access to and the preservation and management of our countries’ shared cultural heritage.

Opportunities for cooperation

With our extensive network in the Netherlands’ and Japan’s cultural sectors and our knowledge of cultural institutions, organisations and theatres, we can advise on opportunities for cooperation. In addition, we can provide grants to local cultural institutions that present Dutch cultural works in Japan and to initiatives aimed at preserving and managing our shared cultural heritage. We also help Dutch artists and creative entrepreneurs with presentation and visibility in Japan, for instance in the media.
