After the project team’s research into British and German equivalents, the NIN teams in the United States organized a program for them in the Bay Area and Washington D.C. on the key success factors in making such an organization succeed. Not only speaking to officials from the ARPA’s (i.e. DARPA, ARPA- H, ARPA-E), but also their stakeholders, flanking programming and co-investors, to cut through the noise and avoid just copying the letter and not the spirit. The partners on both state and federal level were engaged and open to share their insights.
