23 Sep Dutch innovation delegation visit to the Bordeaux Region

In October 2026 a Dutch innovation mission will take place to Bordeaux and Angouleme (Nouvelle Aquitaine region), where a great deal of battery R&D and innovation is taking place.

France is regarded as one of the priority countries for bilateral cooperation in the field of batteries. In the past years several Dutch delegations met with different battery stakeholders and some major battery production plants in the Hauts-de-France region. We also participated in battery events in Lyon, Lille and Dunkirk over the past few years.

Battery Competence Cluster-NL

The mission is organized by the Netherlands Innovation Network France, NBSO Nantes (Netherlands Business support Office) and the Battery Competence Cluster-NL.

The Battery Competence Cluster-NL is the programme where companies, knowledge institutions and organisations join forces to build knowledge and competences in the field of battery technology. The Dutch battery, transport and maritime industries come together in this initiative. The BCC’s mission is to organize public-private collaborations of battery technology in the Netherlands that will develop the required battery competences and knowledge.

Focus on research and innovation to ACC, ICMB, Exoès (tbc)

The aim of this visit to the Bordeaux region is to bring together battery experts from the Dutch and French ecosystems to explore opportunities for collaboration in the field of research and development.

We will also look into the possibility of launching joint European R&D projects, with the help of our French cluster partner ID4Mobility. We foresee visits to companies and research institutes as ACC Research, ICMB Laboratory, Exoès and Sermatech (tbc). On October 8 we will participate to the matchmaking organized by our regional partners in Angoulême!
