I have an appointment for DNA testing at the embassy. Can this still take place?

In view of the developments surrounding the (worldwide) spread of the new coronavirus (COVID-19) and the various preventive measures in the countries affected, all DNA tests at embassies will be postponed - at least until 28 April next. This period may be extended.

When can I make another appointment for DNA?

The developments of the new coronavirus (COVID-19) and their impact on the employability of consular staff for DNA testing is closely monitored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Hague. The health and safety of employees and customers come first.

Priority requests: There will be no DNA sampling until 28 April; after that, the situation will be reviewed.

What does it mean for my MVV application if I cannot take my DNA now?

In the case of DNA requests on behalf of the IND, the IND is informed that it is currently (and in any case until 28 April next) not possible to take DNA tests. If you have any questions about what this means for the processing of your MVV application, you can contact the IND directly.

Can I get a postponement of a DNA test or do the DNA test in the Netherlands?
