Travelling to the Netherlands
Per 1 July 2021the EU ban has been lifted for fully vaccinated persons who wish to travel to the Netherlands. Find out more regarding the current travel regulations for the Netherlands.
Traveling to the Netherlands from Sri Lanka (high risk country) as well as from the Maldives (very high risk country) is possible if you are an exemption to the EU travel ban or fully vaccinated. Find more details on https://www.government.nl/topics/c/coronavirus-covid-19/visiting-the-netherlands-from-abroad/exemptions-to-the-entry-ban
From both countries you need to submit proof of vaccination and a vaccination declaration form. The requirements for proof you will find here: https://www.government.nl/topics/coronavirus-covid-19/visiting-the-netherlands-from-abroad/exemptions-to-the-entry-ban/requirements-for-proof-of-vaccination-issued-outside-the-eu
For Sri Lanka when complying with the vaccination proof you do not need a negative PCR test result to enter the Netherlands and you do not need to go into quarantine in the Netherlands. Note that a negative PCR test result might be necessary for the country of your layover or mandatory by your airline – please inform yourself before traveling.
For the Maldives (very high risk country) besides the vaccination proof you do need a negative PCR test result to enter the Netherlands and you do need to quarantine 10 days (or 5 days and get tested negative again) after your arrival.
Traveling can be a challenge due to the many rules and regulations which change regularly.
