Dutch Shipbuilding Consortium at Indonesia Maritime Exhibitions
The Indonesia Maritime Expo and Indonesia Transport, Supply Chain & Logistics were held from 16 to 18 October, where eight Dutch companies and institutions in the Shipbuilding sector exhibited in the Holland Pavilion.
The eight Dutch companies and institutions are part of the Partners for International Business; a consortium organized by Netherlands Maritime Technology, Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), and the Embassy, to strengthen cooperation in the sector between Indonesia and the Netherlands. Consortium members are Alewijnse Marine, CSI Control Systems BV, Damen Shipyards Group, Hydromaster, Royal IHC, MARIN (Maritime Research Institute Netherlands), STC Group, and Transocean Coatings.
The exhibitions provided valuable network and insights on challenges and opportunities in the industry, especially for the Maritime, Port, and Logistics service providers and manufacturers. Several network activities were organized, with Indonesian National Shipbuilders Association (INSA) in the afternoon of 16 October, followed by a fruitful network reception in the evening with Indonesian shipyards and equipment suppliers.
In addition to the exhibitions, cluster members also made a visit to several Indonesian shipping lines, namely Andhika Lines and Samudera Indonesia, also to PT Dok & Perkapalan Kodja Bahari Shipyard Company. Fruitful lunch with KADIN (Indonesia Chamber of Commerce) was also organized to gain insights on the current development in the sector.
