Young Professionals Event VI
2 May, 18.00, Netherlands Embassy, Götgatan 16a
Young Professionals Event about the European Parliament Elections

At the end of May, citizens from all over the EU will elect a new representation to the European Parliament. Are you wondering who to vote for? And are you interested in the cross-border dynamics of European politics? Then visit this event! The Dutch Embassy is organising a truly transnational election seminar, where we'll focus on issues that matter to both Sweden and the Netherlands – with a special eye to the long-term future of Europe.
After a short presentation on the current functioning of the EU and the particular role of the Netherlands and Sweden, six young EP candidates from both countries will take the floor. They'll present their views on the future of European politics and discuss these with each other. Of course, there'll be room for your questions as well.
The set-up of the evening will be as follows:
18:00 - Doors open
18:30 - Introduction on the European political stage
18:45 - Election pitches by the individual candidates
19:15 - Discussion and Q&A, led by Ambassador Ines Coppoolse
20:00 - Closing and drinks
