Register Now! Mini Trade Mission Makassar
Register Now! Mini Trade Mission Makassar – 23 and 24 April 2019
Deadline Friday 8 March 2019
The Netherlands Embassy in Indonesia offers Dutch companies from all sectors the opportunity to join on a mini trade mission to Makassar in South Sulawesi.
South Sulawesi has enjoyed an average growth of 7% over the past 10 years, with capital city Makassar claiming to be the main gateway to Eastern Indonesia. The province offers interesting perspectives in a variety of sectors, for example;
- South Sulawesi is known as an Agriculture Province, offering a market for upstream products like seeds and drying systems, as well as downstream food processing and storage.
- Makassar port is the maritime hub of Eastern Indonesia, where Pelindo IV is in the process of modernizing its facilities, including establishment of “Makassar New Port”.
- With 102 hospitals offering 17,194 hospital beds, the medical sector in South Sulawesi aims to improve its standards and efficiency to comply with BPJS requirements.
- Water and waste management are challenges of the local public sector that could benefit from Dutch expertise.
The Embassy will develop a two-day program, tailor made for the participating companies, including general elements on business and networking, as well as individual matchmaking, and field visits to local public and private parties. Especially for those already present in Indonesia and/or the ASEAN region, this mission could offer insights and business connections in a new region.
Dutch companies – meaning those (with a headquarters) registered at the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce / “Kamer van Koophandel” – can participate by e-mailing to JAK-EA@minbuza.nl , mentioning the name(s), job titles and contact details of participant(s), and the name and KvK number of the company (or KvK number of your headquarters in the Netherlands). For any questions, please contact Mr. Charly Raya at the honorary-consulate in Surabaya (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Please note that travel, lodging and subsistence costs will be at your company’s own expense. The Embassy will arrange group transport within South Sulawesi, and lodging at a favorable rate. In case of cancellation, incurred preparational costs will be charged.
